Response to Request for information 2026-007 
I refer to your request for information dated 05 January 2026 which was received by Greater 
Wellington Regional Council (Greater Wellington) on 07 January 2026.  
Greater Wellington responded to that request on 10 February 2026 noting that Officers would 
continue to search for documents. 
Two additional documents have been located and are being released, as follows 
1. Attachment 48 - GMC for Services – Regional Emissions Plan – Plan writing
2. Attachment 49 – 1497-GWRC-WLRC-Regional-Emissions-Reductions-Plan-REO-
24227-ff.
Please note, we have withheld the personal names,  contact details of any contractors  and 
officers phone numbers  mentioned in any documents under section 7(2)(a) of the Local 
Government Official Information and meetings Act 1987 (the Act) on the grounds that 
withholding the information is necessary to protect the privacy of natural persons, including 
that of deceased natural persons. 
We have also withheld the hourly rates of any contractors and any hours of work from which the 
hourly rate can be calculated under clause 7(2)((b)(i ) of the Act on the grounds that meaning 
the information available would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of 
the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information.

Greater Wellington’s need to withhold the above information. As a result, we do not consider 
that the public interest outweighs Greater Wellington’s reason for withholding some
