Thank you for your email of 28 December 2025, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
How many vendor contracts in total does ACC have with the Shoe Clinic stores?
For each of the last 3 years and nationwide how much in costs has ACC funded for footwear for
claimants?
For each of the last 3 years how many pairs of footwear for ACC claimants has ACC funded from
the Shoe Clinic stores nationwide?
Our response
ACC does not hold a contract with the Shoe Clinic, all costs have been through non-contracted
purchasing.
The total costs per year paid to Shoe Clinic is contained in the table below. Please note the following
with the information provided:
• This report includes all payments made to various Shoe Clinic vendors between 1 January 2023
and 31 December 2025.
• Costs are exclusive of GST.
• Data were extracted on 13 January 2026 and may differ if re-run at a later date.
• These costs may not all be made for footwear specifically and could be for admin or postal
costs.
