2.
For each such group, please provide:

operations for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years;
•
A breakdown and the totals of actual expenditures to date, including
but not limited to: payments or honoraria to members, catering and
venue costs, administrative or secretariat support, travel and
accommodation, and any other operational expenses;
•
Copies of any Cabinet papers, funding approvals, or internal budgeting
documents authorizing the group’s financial resourcing.
Your request has been treated in accordance with the Official Information Act 1982
(the Act). My responses to each of your questions is as follows:
1.
A complete list of all ministerial advisory groups formed since 27
November 2023, including their official titles, responsible ministers, and
terms of reference.
The Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence has not formed a
ministerial advisory group within this timeframe. However, The Centre for Family
Violence and Sexual Violence Prevention (the Centre) is currently coordinating the
appointment process and providing advice to establish a new Family Violence and
Sexual Violence Ministerial Advisory Group. Relevant Cabinet papers and written

advice can be found on the Centre’s website here:
https://preventfvsv.govt.nz/about-
us/cabinet-papers.
•
The total allocated budget (including any revisions) for the group’s operations
for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years;
The new Family Violence and Sexual Violence Ministerial Advisory Group will have a
maximum operating budget of $0.100 million per year, which will come from within
baseline funding of the Centre.
•
A breakdown and the totals of actual expenditures to date, including but not
limited to: payments or honoraria to members, catering and venue costs,
administrative or secretariat support, travel and accommodation, and any
other operational expenses;
As the new advisory group has not been established yet, no expenditure has been
incurred. Once the appointment process is complete, members will be remunerated
in line with the Cabinet Fees Framework.
Existing staff in the Centre are proposed to undertake secretariat duties for this new
advisory group from within their baseline funding. Most meetings are expected to be
held online, to reduce travel costs. This is outlined in the Cabinet Paper
Establishing
a Ministerial Advisory Group, which is available at
https://preventfvsv.govt.nz/assets/

Group.pdf.
•
Copies of any Cabinet papers, funding approvals, or internal budgeting
documents authorizing the group’s financial resourcing.
As noted earlier, relevant Cabinet papers and written advice from the Centre can be
found on the Centre’s website at
https://preventfvsv.govt.nz/about-us/cabinet-papers.
