Kia ora Joshua, 
 
I refer to your request for information dated 20 December 2025 for cost of instal ing speed humps and road 
redevelopment on Summerland Drive, Henderson. Please find our response below. 
 
I want to know how much Auckland Transport, Henderson-Te Atatu Local Board and related agencies 
spent on the redevelopment of Summerland Dr and the subsequent speed humps. 
 
The construction of this project is stil  ongoing, however the cost of this project to instal  the speed tables, 
speed humps and the road redevelopment on Summerland Drive, Harvest Drive and Brookwood Drive is 
$353,000. 
 
I would also like any information or formalities regarding the verdict of the submissions regarding this 
redevelopment, what the feedback was presented overal , any significant concerns, etc. And the final 
decision before this proceeded. 
 
Please find the close out report from March 2022 attached has the feedback received during the trial 
period and the response/action to the feedback. 
It also includes the speed data gathered during the trial. 
The focus was ensuring a safer environment for the community, especial y the children who attend the 
Primary School, Day care and Kindergarten at this location, and was instigated after a child was hit by a 
vehicle at the roundabout on their journey home from school. AT also received a request from the Minister 
of Transport to investigate this concern.
