Thank  you  for  your  email  of  18  December  2025  to  the  Ministry  of  Social 
Development (the Ministry) requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the 
OIA) a list of people currently in the Benefit Review Committee (BRC). 
Please see the information requested attached as Appendix One. Please note that 
your request for a brief biography for each member is refused under section 18(g) 
of the OIA, as the information requested is not held by the Ministry and I have no 
grounds to believe that it is held by another agency. The Ministry does not have 
an obligation to create a document to fulfil this part of your request.  
In relation to your request for: 
•  How many nominations are currently held in the nomination pool? and 
•  The dates on which those nominations were lodged with your office 
The Ministry currently do not have any nominees held in the nomination pool. More
