Thank you for your email of 16 December 2025 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry)
requesting the following information:

1. May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for
public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website.
2. A copy of your ad and pay rate as well.
3. Also, how many applications you have received from the public
4. How many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry
of women etc for your role.
5. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed.
6. How many vacancies do you have for each entity?
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
In response to
parts one and two of the request above, please find attached a copy of the
advertisement placed on the Ministry website on 24 November 2025 as
Appendix A.This includes
the member fees for each board, with a note that the member fees are currently being reviewed
and may be updated. Job descriptions mentioned in the advertisement are also found in previous
calls for nominations for these appointments, which can be found on the Ministry’s website at the
following link

and-other-statutory-board-appointments.
In reponse to
parts three and four of your request, following the latest public advertising, ten
applications were received for Education New Zealand (ENZ) and three for Te Kura, and 17
applications were received from nominating agencies for ENZ and Te Kura.
In response to
part five of your request, the appointment process is stil in progress, so no
applicants have been shortlisted or interviewed at this stage.

part six of your request, Te Kura has one position that is vacant. ENZ has three
positions coming up for appointment in 2026.
