Subject: HFA supply question
Hello Karen,
Watercare Operations have a question about HFA potential supply shortage across the country.
Not sure if you could help with the country wide picture or this is question for Taumata Arowai?
Background: IXOM facing an HFA potential supply shortage in the country due to
Ballance closing manufacturing in Mount Maunganui around November 25 with4 months stock
supply available after closure. This can result in supply shortage.

Our questions:
Act
• Are MoH and Taumata Arowai aware of this impacting the whole country?
• Do we have any recommendations from the MoH or TA regarding this? Is there a risk in
getting imported HFA or is the better alternative to leave HFA dosing oƯ for the 2-
3months early next year?
Information
• Do we need any additional teats tests if HFA is imported or source changed?
• What are others doing around the country with these changes IXOM are proposing?
