Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 11 December 2025, in
which you asked for information regarding Police travel ers and the Koru Lounge.
My response to each part of your request can be found below.
1.
How many if any, Koru club memberships do the NZ Police have?
2. What is the total annual cost of the memberships?
Police does not fund any Koru Club memberships. Since the 2023/24 financial year,
Police has not funded any Koru Club memberships and the cost remains nil.
3. Please provide the cost if any, of Koru Club memberships on a year-by-year basis,
over the last 5 years.

Did any Police staff use the Koru club lounge at the Auckland Domestic Auckland
airport on the 10th of December?
5. Please list their ranks and destination they travel ing to (Please do not provide
names at this stage) and how many Koru club memberships were held by the
individuals.
Police does not record or receive information about whether staff enter or use the Koru
Lounge, and therefore cannot confirm whether any staff used the lounge on the date
specified. Accordingly, these parts of your request are refused under section 18(g) of the
OIA, as the information requested is not held by Police.
6. Does NZ Police have any policy regarding staff in ful uniform using the Koru club
lounge?
There is no Police policy regarding staff in ful uniform using the Koru club lounge.
