Dear Leigh,
Official Information Request
I refer to your official information request dated 11 December 2025 seeking the following information:
“Please provide any information you hold regarding the work undertaken for CIC by Agite
Consulting from 1 July 2023 to the present, in particular:
1) information about the appointment of Agite, including:

a) recommendations, references or communications from third parties
b) correspondence between the CEO and other parties
c) records of the tendering process and any Requests for Proposal or similar requests.

2) reports or other communications received from Agite in support of the contract for
engagement.
3)  internal approval records at CIC to requisition the engagement of Agite for each piece of work.
4) records of the services provided by Agite and the amounts charged for those services.

5) any CIC internal reports evaluating the work undertaken by Agite.
6) any LGOIMA requests received from other parties about Agite and the CIC, and the responses

to those LGOIMA requests”.
The Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 requires that we advise you of our
decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the date we received your request.
Unfortunately, it wil  not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an
extension of the time to make our decision to Thursday, 12 February 2026
This extension is necessary because your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of
information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our operations.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.  Information
about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or free phone 0800 802
602.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this decision, please feel free to
contact Colette Peni-Ataera
Yours sincerely,

Colette Peni
