Re: Official Information Act request for all school reports from 2010-2025 
 
I refer to your email to the Education Review Office dated 8 December 2025 requesting the following 
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA): 
 
•  Please provide every ero school report from 2010-2025 
 
On 16 December 2025, we advised that over those 15 years, ERO would have published more than 
15,000 individual reports and the reports could be accessed in publicly available archives or on our 
website. We therefore invited you to refine you request to a specific school, geographic area or 
timeframe. 
 
As we have not received a response, I am now refusing your request under: 
•  section 18(d) of the OIA, as the information is publicly available, and  
•  section 18(f) of the OIA, as it would require substantial collation to provide you 15,000 reports 
in a single release.  
 
Please note that it is our policy to proactively release our responses to official information requests 
where possible. We do not publish requesters' personal information.   
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information
