Thank you for your letter request of 1 December 2025 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City 
Council (the Council) requesting the following information: 
 
Can you please provide me information on the rates arrears as at 30 November 2025 please. 
 
I would like to know for each of the periods below: 
 
1 The total number of rate payers 
2 The number of ratepayers in arrears 
3 The dollar value of the arrears 
4 The dollar weighted average months in arrears 
 
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA).  
 
Please see the information requested in the below table. In regard to point four, “the dollar weighted 
average months in arrears”, this is not included in this response as the Council does not calculate this 
metric. Therefore, point four is refused pursuant to section 17(e) of the LGOIMA as the document 
alleged to contain the information requested does not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, 
cannot be found.
