Conversation between the Prime Minister and Jonathan Young
Jonathan Young 23/11/2025 20:05
Hi Chris. I am an avid supporter as you know. you have the knowledge and experience more
than anyone else in this country to lead us through our very challenging times. I would like
to talk to you about the small advanced nation opportunities we must grapes, as one who is
seeing the offshore pull on many of very smart innovators we work with. Is there a time when
I can catch up with you? I feel we are at a strategic tipping point and I’m not sure if many see
the that as you do. Best regards and keep up the very important work you’re doing.
Jonathan.

Awesome and congratulations on making the transition to post political life so well!
Definitely reach out to Watts and Bishop too to let them know what you’re up to. There’s
going to be a bit going down in LG space that I’m sure your perspective would be useful on.
Best, CML

Great- I’m linked in with him - we have a big few weeks of announcements for LG including
water standards that save $1-1.5bn for ratepayers on Wed post RG tomorrow and rates
capping next Monday s9(2)(f)(iv)
Simon Watts 24/11/2025 08:46
Also all but 1/68 council which I’ve deployed a crown facilitator is NOT financially sustainable
per com com from our local water done well reforms so that’s a big achievement
