Official information request regarding EEEN, ENGR and RESE grades
We refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982
(the Act), dated 19 November 2025:
“I would please request the grade distributions for all EEEN, ENGR and RESE
courses in 2025.”
On 11 December 2025 we provided a response to this request. Unfortunately, it was
brought to our attention that the data we provided you was incorrect. We have been
advised that this was due to an Excel pivot setting that was counting rows of data instead
of summing the registered students who received a certain grade. We apologise for any
inconvenience this has caused.
Please see Annex A for the correct, updated data which reflects the actual number of
students in each grade category, accurate as at 16 December 2025. Please note:
•
Some of these numbers will be different due to an individual student’s grade being
finalised over time, rather than being due to incorrect collation.
•
Courses at 500 level and above have not been included in the response.
•
The grand total does not represent the total class numbers, as the data does not
include information on students who have withdrawn from the course.
•
Due to very small course sizes, the grade distributions for ENGR440 and ENGR441
are withheld under s 9(2)(a) of the OIA, to protect the privacy of individuals.
