Thank you for your email of 20 November 2025 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment (MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing:
Please provide the following information:
1. The latest organisational chart of Immigration New Zealand - non redacted.
2. A list of visa categories processed by each visa processing office - including which teams wil
be responsible for the processing of the new Peak Seasonal Visa and Global Workforce
Seasonal Visa.
Our Response
Question 1
We always strive to be as open and transparent as possible about our organisation, but we have to
balance that with protecting our people and New Zealand.
Please find in the attached Appendix 1 the Immigration New Zealand organisational chart.
Please note that, consistent with the Government’s Protective Security Requirements, we have
withheld the names of staff Tier 5 and below under section 6(a) of the Act where information would
be likely to prejudice the security or defence of New Zealand or the international relations of the
Government of New Zealand. MBIE takes its protective security responsibilities seriously, which
includes protecting our people.
In determining our approach to the threats our people face, we are guided by information on New
Zealand's Security Threat Environment, which can be found on the fol owing page:

Question 2
The table confirming the list of visa categories processed by each visa processing office, as at 27
November 2025, is attached in Appendix 2.
Please be advised that some of the information in Appendix 2 has been withheld under Section
27(1)(a) by virtue of section 6(c) as the disclosure of the information would be likely prejudice the
maintenance of the law, including prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right
to a fair trial.
Please also be advised that, like Appendix 1, we have withheld the names of staff in Appendix 2 under
section 6(a) of the Act where information would be likely to prejudice the security or defence of New
Zealand or the international relations of the Government of New Zealand. MBIE takes its protective
security responsibilities seriously, which includes protecting our people.
