I noted, you have recently call for expression of interest - natural hazards
commission (end at 7 Nov 2025)
May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have
call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. A copy of your ad and how
many vacancy you have for this round. Also, how many applications you have
received from the public and how many you have received from other nominating
agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you
have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed. Also, can I request to view
the appointment letter if there is one sent to the appointee. I am happy for you to
remove all the personal information.

May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for
public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website?
The call for nominations for the Natural Hazard Commission (NHC) Board opened on
24 October 2025 and closed on 7 November 2025. Nominations were sought from the
Treasury’s candidate database, nominating agencies, LinkedIn, the Super Diversity
Institute and Community Governance NZ website.
A copy of your ad and how many vacancies you have for this round?
The call for nominations was for one vacancy on the NHC Board and I have decided to
release the attached job listing in full.

questions is withheld in full under section 9(2)(f)(iv) of the Official Information Act – to
maintain the constitutional conventions for the time being which protect the
confidentiality of advice tendered by Ministers of the Crown and officials:
