I refer to your official information request dated 7 November 2025 for: 
1.  A list of all positions currently vacant within Environment Southland as of the date of this 
request; 
2.  Of those positions, an indication of which have become vacant as a result of voluntary 
resignations following the recent organisational restructure, as distinct from roles that 
were disestablished by that restructure; 

3.  Any documents or summaries outlining how the currently vacant positions are being 
prioritised for recruitment or refilling, including any policies, criteria, or internal guidance 
used to determine hiring priorities.
