Further to the previous letter of 20 November 2025 notifying you that your requests DOIA-REQ-0023581 
and DOIA-REQ-0023578 have been partially transferred to WorkSafe New Zealand as some of the 
information that you requested is not held by MBIE but is held by WorkSafe New Zealand. 
 
I am writing to advise you that MBIE wil  provide a combined response to the rest of your questions in 
these two requests but needs to extend the time available to answer your requests to 19 December 2025. 
The reason for the extension applies to section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a 
decision on the request are such that a proper response cannot be made within the original time limit. 
 
MBIE’s response wil  be sent to you no later than 19 December 2025. However, we will respond to you 
sooner if we are able to. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision, in accordance 
with section 28(3) of the Act. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
