Request for information: Kostaive self-amplifying mRNA in New Zealand
Thank you for your request dated 25 November 2025 under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA) for clarification of our previous response regarding Kostaive self-amplifying mRNA in
New Zealand [Ref. 2025-26-099]. You requested:
Can Pharmac please supply an updated response explaining how you answered "No" when
your own documentation states:
"Pharmac staff are aware of four Covid-19 vaccines that may be available in New Zealand"
as witnessed in as listed on pg 10, section 8 - Market Analysis, in a prior response received
from Pharmac, reference H2025072586.
The answer was "No" as the reference being referred to was looking at potential vaccines
that may be available in New Zealand in the future, rather than those that were available at
the present time in New Zealand.
