Privacy Act 2020 request 
I am responding to your email of 11 November 2025 to the Department of Internal Affairs 
(the Department) requesting the fol owing information under the Privacy Act 2020 (the Act): 
“Wel  all my business income is coming from overseas which wil  have to come through 
Internal Affairs under the Anti money Laundering act I would like a copy of all those 
statements and I would like all the information this Department holds on me.” 
On 13 November 2025, the Department asked you to clarify the scope of your request and 
to provide a copy of a valid identity document (passport or New Zealand driver’s licence) to 
confirm your identity.   
On 19 and 24 November 2025, the Department fol owed up on its email of 13 November 
2025, but received no reply from you. 
Response to your request 
As you have not replied to the Department, your request cannot be progressed. 
If you later decide to provide the required identification record and a rescoped request, the 
Department wil  process your request and begin the 20-working-day timeframe for a 
response under the Act. Should you submit a new request, we recommend using an email 
address that is separate from the FYI website.
