Wel being was a recommended focus area for MfE in March 2024 survey round, with a
large volume of comments raising concerns around personal wel being due to:
Sample comments:
• Uncertainty
9(2)(ba)(i)
• High workloads
• Unrealistic workload demands
This feedback has been consistent across multiple rounds of Tō Reo, however efforts have
not yet resulted in a positive shift. Wel being continued to be a theme throughout the
November pulse survey round with concerns about wel being raised in comments
throughout the survey.
The results (and research) show we must continue to focus on wel being and be aware of
the impact of low wel being on productivity and engagement.
