Business Case
Reason for Request
Please outline the key reasons for travel.
The reason for travel is to meet with Worksafe Australia and TAC to discuss ACC’s current performance challenges
including increasing costs, longer rehabilitation timeframes and the impact of external factors – for example, changes
to Scheme boundaries, macro-economic conditions, wider health and social system pressures and broader
government policy changes.
Given the immediacy of these chal enges, these meetings will discuss:
• Policy and legislative levers to improve rehabilitation and Scheme performance
• Case management capacity and capability, including related interventions that have demonstrated success
(e.g. the External Insight Programme and ERCO)
• Implementation of TAC’s strategic framework,
Make Every Day Matter • Levers and models to support return to work, independence, and management of non-injury factors
• Segmentation approaches to ensure clients receive targeted and appropriate support
• Models of healthcare commissioning and their interface(s) with case management
Benefit to ACC
How does this travel support the needs of the business unit and ACC?
