Thank you for your email of 23 October 2025 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) requesting 
the following information:  
Please release the minutes and any preparatory or follow-up materials given to members 
for each session from the Māori Advisory group meetings on the following dates: 

•  21 October 2025 – in-person, Wellington 
•  25 November 2025 – in-person, Wellington 
•  26 November 2025 – in-person, Wellington. 
•  16 September 2025 – in-person, Auckland 
•  19 August 2025 – online 
•  29 July 2025 – in-person, Wellington 
•  20 May 2025 – in-person, Wellington 
•  16 April 2025 – in-person, Auckland 
•  25 March 2025 – in-person, Wellington 
•  12 December 2024 – in-person, Wellington 
•  29 October 2024 – in-person, Napier 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
The Ministry needs to extend the timeframe for responding to your request, pursuant to section 
15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a 
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
You can now expect to receive a response to your request on or before 19 January 2026, which is 
an extension of 25 working days. 
Please note this date takes into account the period commencing with 25 December in any year and 
ending with 15 January in the following year, which are not considered to be working days for the 
purposes of the Act.
