Official Information Act request: Copy of contract 
 
Thank you for your email of 21 October 2025 to the Ministry of Justice (the Ministry), 
requesting information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), regarding Fairway 
Resolution.  Specifically, you requested:  
 
May I please have a copy of the Ministry of Justice’s Fairway Resolution dispute 
resolution contract expiring 30 June 2025 and entered into on or around 1 July 2021. 

 
On 11 November 2025, the Ministry advised that the time frame to respond to your request 
was extended in line with section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a 
decision on your request meant that a response to the request could not be made within the 
original time limit.  
 
In response to your request please find attached a copy of the contract you have requested.  
Some information has been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of 
natural persons. 
 
In withholding information under section 9 of the Act, the Ministry has considered the public 
interest and does not consider that it outweighs withholding the information at this time.
