REGULATIONS:
The Faculty of Law Dean’s Academic 
1.  The Awards will be known as the Faculty of Law Dean’s Academic Excellence 
Excellence Awards were established in

6.   The University of Auckland Council has the power to amend or vary these 
regulations provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the 
Award.
Notes: 
(i)  Students who are recipients of a Senior Scholar Award in Law will also be 
eligible to receive a Faculty of Law Dean’s Academic Excellence Award.
(ii)  These regulations apply to all students completing their LLB or LLB 
(Honours) requirements in the year ended 29 February 2012, and 
subsequently.
(iii)  Each student is to be considered on the basis of their grades in all the Law 
courses taken for the degree (that is, based on the grades for all compulsory 
and elective law courses taken within the LLB or LLB (Honours), weighted 
according to the points attaching to each course).  Grades in the non-law 
courses within LLB Part I, and in the seminar course and dissertation taken 
for LLB (Hons), will not be included.
