We refer to your official information request dated 6 October 2025, seeking LiDAR
data for 1044 Coast Road. Specifical y, you requested:
Please provide any LiDAR DSM or DEM data held by HCC for 1044 Coast
Road. This includes any data collected during any assessment of the
property.
Answer:
Hutt City Council does not hold LiDAR DSM or DEM data for 1044 Coast Road. This
property is in a rural area, and LiDAR data for rural parts of the Wel ington Region
is procured by Greater Wel ington Regional Council.
Greater Wel ington Regional Council has advised that they have received this
request and wil respond to you directly regarding any information they hold.
In the meantime, you may wish to access publicly available LiDAR data for the
area via the LINZ Data Service. The 2013–2014 LiDAR dataset for the Wel ington
Region includes DEM, DSM, and point cloud data and can be downloaded from:
