In relation to the LiDAR-related requests, a response has been sent for 2025-347 and the data
provided for this request encapsulates GIS data requested for 2025-356.
In relation to the regulatory focussed requests, we have reached out via e-mail on 16 October
(as we do not have a contact number) to discuss the best way forward to work through your
requests but have not received a reply at this point.
Greater Wellington considers it necessary to extend the timeframe to advise you of our decision
on requests 2025-330, 2025-345, and 2025-346 to
12 November 2025.
This decision is made pursuant to section 14 of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 on the basis your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of
information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our
operations. Also, as a number of the requests overlap, is it administratively efficient for us to
collate all regulatory-related requests into one response.
Request 2025-330 & 2025-346
Further clarification was sought by Callum Hawthorne in relation to 2025-330 and you replied
with the following:
“I wish to see all communications held by GWRC that relate to consented and non
consented activities on the property as they relate to my previous communications
to GWRC. My first communication dates to early 2023. However, I gather that the
first complaints by others date to late 2022.
I want to see the following:
Which communications from myself and other parties were acted on
If any communications about activities on the property were not acted on, why this
occurred.
Why previous information requests did not result in all relevant information being
supplied.”

An initial search across our e-mail systems has been completed. Using the search term “1044
Coast Road” and “sediment discharge” or “depositing of material”, a total 5576 potential e-
mails was identified It would be helpful to have a discussion to clarify more clearly various
aspects of the this request, hence please contact Stephen Thawley on 021 567383 to discuss.
