Thank you for your email
of 4 October 2025 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Under the OIA please can you provide 15 minutes count data (with Light & Heavy split if
available) for stations 01N19424 and 01N29424 covering the SB and NB flows by Lane
on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
If there are any caveats on the use of this data please provide this. If data from these
monitoring locations is not available please substitute it with comparable data from
nearby stations and provide your assessment on the reliability of any substitute data.
This should be in the same Excel format as you have previously provided (eg OIA-13192)
and extend from 17/1/24 until 30/9/25 (or the latest date available). Please also provide
details of any closures or restrictions (with reasons) and movable barrier positions and
times for the same period.

The Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) classifier from sites 01N19424 and 01N29424
have been used as the main data source (Attachment 2).
Details of dates with invalid ATMS data are listed in the “Note” sheet (Attachment 1), along with
corresponding alternative data sources which are outlined in separate sheets (Attachments 3-4).

Attachments 1-4 comprise the fol owing sheets:

“Note” sheet: outlines dates with invalid ATMS data and their corresponding alternative sources
•
“ATMS_AHB” sheet: this is the main data source that contains ATMS classifier data. As this
includes invalid data, please refer to the “Note” sheet (Attachment 1)
for replacements.

“Blackcat_SB” sheet: outlines an alternative source for the southbound direction (Blackcat is
another database)
•
“Blackcat_NB” sheet: outlines an alternative source for the northbound direction
•
“SRMS_SB” sheet: outlines an alternative Scat Ramp Metering System (SRMS) data for the
southbound direction
•
“SRMS_NB” sheet: outlines an alternative SRMS data for the northbound direction.
•
“Maps” sheet: outlines maps that cover the
SRMS SB and
SMRM NB areas.
Please note that that SRMS data does not include heavy vehicle (HV) data. Total lane volume SRMS
data (for light vehicles (LVs) and HVs) has been provided for dates which contain invalid ATMS and
Blackcat data.
In line with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) policy, this response wil soon be published on
our website, with personal information removed.
