I have received the LGOIMA below from Craig Innes.
I don't need your input to answer Craig's LGOIMA. About a month ago we received a very similar LGOIMA
request also relating to landfill operations at 1044 Coast Road, Wainuiomata. I will refer Craig to that response
to answer his LGOIMA.
INFORMATION
However In our response to that earlier LGOIMA (now on our public website) we said there was no resource
consent issued for these land works on 1044 Coast Road. However Craig's email below says that material is
being dumped in the streambed. I am bringing this activity to your attention because I assume that certainly
requires a resource consent (I was told that there isn't one for that property) and because of the risk it poses to
flooding/water flow. I don't need to be involved or informed of whatever action if any you take.

The latest Google Earth imagery, dating to February 2024, indicates that large amounts of material have been

deposited throughout the property. This is most notable in the areas near tracks that appear to have been built
up and widened. Analysis of the colour of the material along the river edges suggests that material has been
extensively deposited within close proximity of the river. Residents from the area report a constant stream of

laden trucks have been seen entering the property since at least December 2022. According to local residents
the total deposits of material must exceed many tens of thousands of tons of material.
Please provide all information, including any complaints received, relating to the above activity.
