Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 23 
September 2025 to Hon Simeon Brown, Minister of the Crown. 
 
You requested:  
 
  How many OIA requests have you received since you took Office? 
  How many OIA requests have you responded to by providing information in ful ? 
  How many OIA requests have you refused in ful ? 
  For each request that has been refused in ful , which ground of the Official 
Information Act was used? 
 
The Minister has received 941 requests for official information under the Act since he took 
office. For avoidance of doubt, this covers his time as Minister of Transport; Minister of Local 
Government; Minister for Energy; Minister for Auckland; Minister of Health; and Minister for 
State Owned Enterprises. 
 
In response to parts 2, 3, and 4 of your request, the information you have requested is not 
col ated in an easily accessible way. Retrieving the information you have requested would 
require manual y accessing the responses to al  941 requests for official information under 
the Act, which would impact my staff's ability to perform in their core roles, including 
responding to current requests for official information under the Act.  
 
Therefore, section 18(f) of the Act applies to these parts of your request, as the information 
requested cannot be made available without substantial col ation or research.
