Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Please could I request any advice to
ministers in relation to New Zealand's recognition of a Palestinian state during
2025.
Response to your request
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has released the relevant Cabinet material regarding the
recognition of Palestine. This information can be found on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and Trade (the Ministry) website

The Ministry is also preparing to proactively release key advice and correspondence
regarding Palestinian state recognition. This information will be published no later than
the 26 November 2025, and will be available on the Ministry’s website
