Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) 1987 Request:
Actions related to dog fouling in Cromwell Greenway
Thank you for your LGOIMA request dated 15 September 2025. Please find the CODC
response to the request below:
1. Can you please supply an outline of what actions have been taken by the Central
Otago District Council in relation to the Dog Fouling in the greenway between Gair
Ave and the back of McNulty Road in Cromwell, as published on Facebook on the
12th of September, where the Central Otago District Council was tagged?
Central Otago District Council was not advised of this incident through a Service Request, nor
a Snap, Send, Solve request via our website. Social media posts on third party groups and
pages are not monitored and are not considered a request for service or a request for action
from Central Otago District Council.
2. Please supply a copy of any fines/notices/warnings or letters issued as part of the
actions taken.
As Central Otago District Council was not directly notified of the incident, we cannot identify
any fines/notices/warnings or letters generated and issued in this instance.
3. Please confirm if the person is part of the Cromwell Community Board at the time of
the incident. If they are, have there been any disciplinary actions taken?
