Thank you for your email of 13 September 2025 requesting the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
May I ask how you called for public nomination this round and on what platform you
have call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. Also, how many applications
you have received from the public and how many you have received from other
nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many
you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed. Also, can I request to view
the appointment letter if there is one sent to the previous appointee. I am happy for
you to remove all the personal information. How many positions are being fil ed during
this round of appointments? and please provide the current member's term of
appointment, including the start and end dates.
I am writing to notify you that the Ministry for the Environment is extending the timeframe for
its response to your request under section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to
make a decision on the request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made
within the original timeframe.
We wil now respond to your request on, if not before, 17 October 2025, which is an extension
of five working days.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of my decision on
this request, in accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found at:
