Thank you for your email, received on 11 September 2025, to Oranga Tamariki—
Ministry for Children (Oranga Tamariki) requesting information on the procurement
process for legal services relating to vaccine mandates. Your request has been
considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
You have requested:

Would you kindly share the procurement process for these legal services
for vaccine mandates in relation to the Government Procurement rules
which are here.

There are no tenders that I can find for legal services to Health NZ on the
Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) website

Please share the "Opt-out" approvals if these services did not go through
GETS.
Oranga Tamariki did not undergo a procurement process for legal services in relation
to vaccine mandates. Legal services were provided in-house and were
purchased from approved providers of the All of Government Contract for External
Legal Services.
