Official Information Act request relating to RSGG and NSG Staff turnover
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 10 September
2025. You requested:
“[…] a copy of staff turnover specifically within the Risk and Systems Governance
Group and National Security Group. For the purposes of this request, could these stats
please be combined? Could you please list the reasons for turnover (e.g. resignation,
redundancy etc) and break it down monthly. Could the time frame be the last two
financial years (including the current one please). Lastly, could you please provide me
with the overall positions that have been left unfilled in the group.”
We have interpreted your request as seeking turnover information for the period July 2023 –
August 2025. As September 2025 is still in train, the data for this month does not exist at the
time of your request.
Table 1 overleaf shows the combined staff turnover within the Risk and Systems
Governance Group and National Security Group as at the end of each month, for the period
of your request, broken down by reason for departure. Information regarding the “overall
positions that have been left unfil ed in the group” is not held. Therefore, I am refusing this
part of your request under section 18(e) of the Act as the information requested does not
exist.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
This response wil be published on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s
website during our regular publication cycle. Typically, information is released monthly, or as
otherwise determined. Your personal information including name and contact details will be
removed for publication.
