Our response
ACC’s health contracts contain requirements for all suppliers to deliver services in accordance with
laws and regulations, and to meet all current clinical, ethical and professional standards and
guidelines, and follow good industry practice.
ACC’s health contracts also contain requirements on suppliers related to the collection and
management of personal information. All these provisions apply to the potential or actual use of AI by a
supplier. Each health contract includes ACC’s standard terms and conditions, which are publicly
available on the ACC website here:
https://www.acc.co.nz/assets/contracts/health-contract-terms-
conditions.pdf. Points six and eight of the document outline the suppliers’ obligations, expected
behaviours and relevant legislation which the providers’ service must comply with.
