I am writing further to your request below for information: 
Whakaari Aotearoa Drama NZ is requesting emails and correspondence sent between the 
Ministry and Erica Stanford and/or the ministerial advisory group on the Arts curriculum 0-13 
and Arts subjects in phase 5 of the curriculum: Drama, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, and Te Ao 
Haka in 2025. 

We apologise for the delay in providing you with the four documents identified in our response to 
you of 27 November 2025. We have not delivered this information to you and acknowledge that in 
not doing so, we have failed to meet our obligations under the Official Information Act 1982 (the 
Act).  
In working with the Ombudsman’s Office in response to your complaint on our handling of your 
response and in preparing the four documents for release, further documents within scope of your 
request have been identified to the four we notified you of.  
We are working to finalise the additional content and to provide you with all the relevant 
information. I sincerely apologise for the undue delay and incorrect identification of information in 
scope of your request. This is not in line with our obligations under the legislation, nor is it in line 
with the expectations we have of ourselves and our processes.  
We will continue to work with the office of the Ombudsman on this matter and will provide them 
with a copy of this letter for their information. We will be in touch during the week of 19 January 
2025 and provide you an update on our progress to confirm the documents in scope and timing of 
our response.
