We refer to your email dated 14 October 2015 and transferred to us from the Ministry of Health on 
29 October  2015 requesting the  following information under section 12 of the  Official Information 
Act (1982). 
 
  For each public hospital: 
o  Is any revenue directly or indirectly obtained from car parking charges? 
o  When they began receiving any such revenues? 
o  The amount of money received each year in car parking charges? 
o  If charges are just levied against members of the public and/or if staff are expected 
to pay too? 
o  If there are any exemptions or limits to the charges imposed at each site? 
 
 
No revenue is, nor has ever been, derived by West Coast DHB (nor any other agency) from any car 
parking charges or fines, nor any other associated parking-related matters, at any of our hospitals or 
other health facilities.
