Request for information 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 29 August 2025 in 
which you asked for information relating to the investigation into the death of Ruthless-
Empire Souljah Reign Shepherd AHIPENE-WALL. 
My response to each of your questions are below. 
Number of days to 29/08/2025 that Police have been investigating the death of 
Ruthless-Empire Souljah Reign Rhind Shephard Wal  
Police have been investigating this matter since the death of Ruthless-Empire Souljah 
Reign Shepherd Ahipene-Wal . Operation Huia remains an active investigation. 
Number of full-time investigators working on the case as of 29/08/2025. 
The number of full-time investigators fluctuates depending on current priorities, therefore 
this part of your request is refused in accordance with section 18(g) of the OIA, as the 
information requested is not held in a form by Police to provide a definitive answer. 
Since police publicly declared there are 3 "persons of interest" in the case, has 
this changed? 
There remain three persons of interest in this investigation. 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not satisfied
