Thank you for your email of 29 August 2025 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the
Council) requesting the following information:
We request a tabular dataset listing all Wellington rural properties currently affected by
Significant Natural Areas (SNAs), including each property's full rating valuation. Where
available, please also include the percentage of the land area covered by SNAs.
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act
1987 (LGOIMA). Please find my response below.
Full property details (including legal description, address, and roll number), full rating valuation, and
the percentage of land area covered by Significant Natural Areas (SNAs) for rural properties in
Wellington City that are currently affected by SNAs have been provided as an appendix.
Please note the following:
• Some properties are split-zoned, with the Significant Natural Area (SNA) located entirely
within the Natural Open Space Zone (NOSZ) portion of the site. These properties have been
excluded from the calculation. For example, 19 Happy Valley Road is split-zoned, but
because the Significant Natural Area is wholly within the Natural Open Space Zone, it is not
included in the summary table.
• Valuation information is not available for two properties listed at the end of the table.
