Thank you for your email of 22 August 2025 requesting information regarding Hamilton City Council
use of the Climate Emergency Response Fund under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
1. What was total contribution to Hamilton City Council projects from the Climate Emergency
Response Fund as part of the Transport Choices programme?
2. What was final budget for al Hamilton City Council projects from the Climate Emergency
Response Fund as part of the Transport Choices programme?
3. Has all funding for Hamilton City Council projects from the Climate Emergency Response
Fund as part of the Transport Choices programme be spent and what was the final total
amount spent on those projects?
4. Can a list of all Hamilton City Council Transport Choices programme projects, funded from the
Climate Emergency Response Fund, be provided which includes the NZTA and/or CERF
contribution to each project and the total cost of each project?

The total contribution to Hamilton City Council from the Climate Emergency Response Fund for the
Transport Choices Programme was $15,961,122.
2. What was final budget for al Hamilton City Council projects from the Climate Emergency
Response Fund as part of the Transport Choices programme?
Total funding that was allocated (final budget) from the Climate Emergency Response Fund for al
Hamilton City Council Transport Choices Programme was $16,029,987.
3. Has al funding for Hamilton City Council projects from the Climate Emergency Response
Fund as part of the Transport Choices programme be spent and what was the final total
amount spent on those projects?
Not al funding al ocated to Hamilton City Council projects as part of the Transport Choices Programme
was spent. The final total amount spent on those projects was $15,961,122.
The funding not utilised by Hamilton City Council was not drawn down.
4. Can a list of al Hamilton City Council Transport Choices programme projects, funded from
the Climate Emergency Response Fund, be provided which includes the NZTA and/or
CERF contribution to each project and the total cost of each project?
