Game Animal Council Vacancies 2025 
The Minister for Hunting and Fishing is seeking nominations for membership of the 
Game Animal Council. 
The Minister will be seeking to appoint up to three (3) members to the Council who 
will collectively have knowledge and experience relating to game animals 
(recreational and commercial hunting, deer farming, hunting-related tourism), 
farming generally, forestry, kaitiakitanga, nature conservation, and scientific 
disciplines. 
Appointments will take effect from 1 July 2025 and will be for a term of up to three 
years. 
Nominations may be made by any person or organisation. Additional information and

The closing date for nominations is Friday 14 March 2025 at 5pm.
