Kia ora Marcus,
Official information Request: Independent assessment of code of conduct complaint –
costs
I am writing to you in response to your request received 13 August for the following
information regarding costs incurred by Council in commissioning independent assessment
of code of conduct complaint undertaken by Scott Doolan dated 4 April 2025:
Under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 I formally request
any information held by the Council relating to the costs of obtaining the independent
assessment undertaken by Scott Doolan (dated 4 April 2025) of a code of conduct complaint
made by Councillors Olds, Gray, Bosley, Plimmer, McAulay and Ellims (the Doolan Report).
Please take information held to include (but is not limited to): documents, emails, recordings,
faxes, memos, minutes, meeting notes, reports, correspondence, agendas, policy documents,
external adviser, researcher and other contractor communication and invoices, including all
those in electronic form.
If it would reduce the resource implications on the Council I would accept a simple statement
of the total cost incurred in obtaining the Doolan Report as fulfilling this request.
We have assessed your request under the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). I have received information to provide the following
response.
This information is part of a proactive release on our website, therefore the request is
refused under LGOIMA section 17(d) - the information is publicly available.
