the South Island through to Tuesday. Heavy rain is also forecast to affect

Forecast: Periods of heavy rain, with thunderstorms possible. Rainfall amounts
may approach warning criteria and this watch is likely to be upgraded to a

Heavy rain for many areas, easing from the south today. Cold southerlies on
Wednesday may bring heavy snow to the south of the South Island
Heavy rain affecting northern and western parts of the South Island should ease
during today. Heavy rain is also forecast to affect northern and western parts
of the North Island today. A cold southerly change over the South Island
tomorrow is expected to bring snow to the hills and mountains, with possible
heavy falls about parts of Southland, Otago and Canterbury.
People are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts.

Heavy rain in Bay of Plenty easing early Wednesday while cold southerlies may
bring heavy snow to the south of the South Island late Wednesday
A complex trough over the country is expected to move away to the east during
tonight and Wednesday morning and a heavy rain warning is in force for Bay of
Plenty. A cold southerly change over the South Island tomorrow is expected to
bring snow to the hills and mountains, with possible heavy falls about parts of
Southland, Otago and Canterbury.
People are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts.
WARNING NO LONGER IN FORCE
Heavy rain warning lifted for: Northland
Forecast: Heavy rain has eased and the Warning is now lifted.
Note, showers, some heavy, are expected to affect the region during Wednesday
with possible thunderstorms morning and night.
