Official Information Act request Whangārei Airport Data. 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) dated 
12 August 2025 where you requested: 
1.  A copy of the hourly rainfall data from MetService for the Whangārei 
Airport/Aerodrome station from 15 April 2023 to 15 May 2023. I would also like 
time-stamped records of when (during the period of 15 April 2023 to 15 May 
2023) any heavy rain watches or warnings were issued, updated, or cancel ed - 
plus their exact wording. 
 
Please find attached the following for the period 15 April until 15 May 2023 
•  The hourly observations for Whangarei Aerodrome, including rainfall (last 
column) 
•  The Severe Weather Watches and Warnings issued for Northland. These 
have been arranged into sequences, with the initial Watch/Warning 
fol owed by any updates. 
•  The Severe Thunderstorm Watches issued for al  of New Zealand. 
•  The Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued for Northland.
