Thank you for your email of 11 August 2025 in which you request the fol owing under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
I  would  like  to  know  al   the  circumstances  surrounding  Michael Alan Ramsden 
(26.10.1959) being repatriated to NZ from Vietnam in 2024. 
 
We  have  transferred  your  request  to  the  Ministry  of  Foreign  Affairs  and  Trade.  The 
information to which your request relates, is not held by us but is believed to be held by 
the  Ministry  of  Foreign  Affairs  and  Trade.  In  these  circumstances,  we  are  required  by 
section 14 of the Official Information Act to transfer your request. 
 
The  deadline  to  respond  to  your  request  has  been  extended  by  10  working  days  to 
accommodate this transfer (section 15A(1)(a)) refers. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision
