RE: Could you check this OIA please - OIA 224? [IN-CONF*DENCE]
Date:
Wednesday, 11 June 2025 9:45:38 AM
Hi Zac,
I am interested to know how the Office wants to process the Pay Equity material provided in the BIM.
There are a couple of paragraphs and graphic in the BIM which contain what could likely be considered pay
equity advice. This was withheld under 9(2)(f)(iv) in the proactively released BIM.
We can look to refresh the proactive release of the BIM with this material unredacted and OIA responses could
refer to this separately from the large proactive release of advice.
I can liaise with the publishing team on how long it would take to reupload a copy with redactions removed.
However, I also note that it would be prudent to also consider what other material withheld in the BIM could be
unredacted, though I don't expect there will be much.
Let me know your thoughts on the above.
I would advise that you keep the extension date originally proposed in the letter we sent over. 9(2)(a) - MBIE staff,
and I are going over all the requests we have on hand in detail over the next few days. We will then be able to
advise on which requests are not linked to the proactive release and could be sent out earlier.
Thanks,
9(2)(a) - MBIE staff

Ah gotcha - could you please have a look tomorrow and let me know before COP how long an extension is
needed.

I.e. is this something we can extend a week and smash out, or something we would need to leave to the 25 July
date.

Hi Zac,
If not extended this would be due out to the requestor tomorrow and today is our away day so we cannot answer
this without an extension.

Hi 9(2)(a) - MBIE staff
Could you check if MBIE thinks we can respond to the below OIA without an extension? It's just for two
paragraphs in the BIM, but I'm not sure what's in those (the unredacted copy must be buried somewhere in the
office's files!).
Cheers,
Zac
