Thank you for your email dated 29 July 2025 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the 
Council). Your request is being considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and 
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).  
 
This letter is to advise you that the Council needs to extend the due date of your response for 14 
working days, pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the LGOIMA, as the request involves a large quantity of 
official information which requires a search that would unreasonably interfere with Council operations, 
alongside consultations necessary to make a proper decision cannot be completed within the original 
timeframe. 
 
For this reason, you can expect a response from the Council no later than Friday 12 September 2025. 
 
I understand your request for information relates to the issuing of two infringements which you 
received for driving in a bus lane. Please be assured that alongside a response to your questions 
raised, Parking Services wil  also be providing you an update on the status of these infringements. 
Due to the large number of questions raised, coupled with the subsequent correspondences received 
since this initial request made on 29 July, more time is required in order to finalise our response. 
 
Please be assured that although the decision date for this request has been extended, we are 
endeavouring to reply as soon as possible. 
 
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 27(3) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s decision to extend by the Ombudsman. Information about
