Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-041869 Thank you for your email of 28 July 2025, received by ACC on 29 July, asking for the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
In light of recent news, I understand that Fale Andrew Lesā is one of your Motorcycle Safety
Advisory Council member May I kindly request your most current Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council member list as of 28
July 2025, and if Fale Andrew Lesā is not your current CAC member, when does he resign. I
request to view his resignation letter or any email related to his resignation. Also, in light with the news, I would like requesting all documents and information you hold
pertaining to the appointment of Fale Andrew Lesā to the Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council.
Our response
At present we have five Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council (MSAC) members. This includes Angela
McLeod (Acting Chair), Alan Petrie, Nikki Cameron, David Huang, and Danny Hailes. At the end of
August 2025, both Alan Petrie and Nikki Cameron will be leaving, and we are currently recruiting for four
new members.
Fale Andrew Lesā resigned as an MSAC council member as of 24 July 2025 effective immediately.
Please find attached a resignation email from Andrew and a letter which was attached to this email.
Names and contact details have been removed as out of scope of your request.
