Official Information Act request: Parliamentary office bathroom 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 22 July 2025. You 
requested: 
I am requesting all information which records either the final cost and/or budgeted sums spent 
for the refurbishment of your Beehive office bathroom since you became Prime Minister. 
There has been no refurbishment of the bathroom in the Prime Minister’s Beehive office since the 
formation of the 54th Executive on 27 November 2023. The Prime Minister’s Office is not 
responsible for the costs or budget of refurbishing the Beehive office or bathroom. 
 
Therefore, your request for information is declined under section 18(e) of the Act, the document 
alleged to contain the information requested does not exist. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 
28(3) of the Act.
