Referee check
Hello
,
I am doing the referee check for Andrew Lesa, he has applied to be a member of the Complaints Assessment Committee (CAC) for the Real estate Agents Authority (REA) and he has given your name as one of his referees.
Could you please advise me of some times this week that is would be okay to talk with you. I envisage it taking about 20 mins.
The Real Estate Authority (REA) is a Crown entity, established under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. Our purpose is to promote and protect the interest of consumers buying and selling real estate, and to promote public
confidence in the performance of real estate agency work. We are also responsible for dealing with complaints about licensed real estate agents. Our formal complaints go to a Complaints Assessment Committee (CAC). They are an
independent judicial committee that investigates (we have our own investigators that are instructed by the CAC to carry out an investigation on their behalf) and makes decisions on complaints. They are made up of 3 people, one
being a lawyer and the other two are have experience and knowledge of the real estate industry and consumer affairs. Most of the time the CAC makes their decisions on the papers.
Stay safe,
Liz
